Rainy days provide a great reminder to sit and notice, to rebalance your body, mind, and spirit with this wild, rhythmic gift.
As the droplets proceed to recede,
how does your body respond to this change?
Notice the sound of the tumbling stones as the sea filters away the debris. Is there anything you no longer need?
Can you release it with the receding waves?
Along the Mousam River, this urban body of water provides respite to the Canadian Geese as they float together in the cold. Notice how the waves of wind wash over the water and wild rose. Does this have impact on your mood?
A Maine sunrise over the Atlantic..Listen to the rolling dance of waves. Feel the ripples reach into your body. What do you notice of your own natural rhythms?
Energizing or peaceful? Notice the patterns of flow though this set of rapids. How does this movement impact your body? Your breath?
The beginning of a day's journey on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway commences with lifting fog and "silent" strokes. Notice how the paddling rhythm effects your body and breath?
Listen the the Hemlock and Cedar branches crackle over the coals along the Maine/Canadian border. Notice the wind's path across the flames. How do the sounds effect your body?
Listen to the lapping waves along Eagle Lake's shoreline as the sun settles into the west. How does this change in light effect your senses?
In the midst of a snowstorm, the heavy snow falls from the branches above creating a dance of droplets below. How does the mix of soft snowflakes and floating slush effect the rhythm of your breath?
Just after the rain on NH's Back Lake.... listen to the droplets fall from the nearby Spruce trees. Notice the subtle changes in the lake's surface. How does this stillness impact your body? Your breath?
Listen to the wind along the riverbank. Feel the ripples of the river in your body. How does this impact on your breath? Your mind?

A video series to share curiosity, guidance, & joy.
Embrace the days ahead as a time of renewal and preparation for an amazing Autumn.
For each of the 10 Day Count-Up!, we will provide a sharing for your wellness toolbox. Each gift carries the intention of helping us to pivot to a happier state of mind, body, & spirit as the new season approaches.
Expect to find invitations of a spiritual and practical nature, inspiration, and a sprinkle of Autumn joy. May you discover something that assists you in ways unexpected as you step into this spectacular season.
Day 1 -- Pivoting Perspective with Joy
How you see the world around you is important, some even say VITAL in this challeging time we are navigating.
Instead of the 10 Day count-down, we are Counting-UP to the Autumnal Equinox. Yes, there are 10 days of summer to celebrate with an invitation to embrace Fall at its beginning.
So this is a perspective check. The glass-half-full question. How you read your environment is crucial. We all read with a lense. Your important task is to determine at any given moment - what is your lense? Half full? Half empty?
For me…Tonight we paddled around “the island”. Surprisingly, I felt sad for missed opportunities this summer…for our decision to cut it short due to the wind. But wait! We are here NOW! This emotion of disappointment triggered my awareness for a pivot. A perspective pivot!
Put your face into the wind, feel the paddle brace the water, glide with ease and joy in this moment. And bam, we arrived home for a spectacular sunset.
You always have a choice.
✨Can you recall a pivot you made today?
✨What was your “island” offering a change in perspective?
Tomorrow awaits more.
Day 2
The wind doesn’t cling — it moves.
It stirs the trees, scatters the leaves, and sweeps away what’s ready to go.
Every gust reminds us: release can be a gift, not a loss.
We’re always reading our environment. But how we read it — that’s the difference between feeling stuck or free.
Maybe the thing you’re gripping is the very thing asking to be carried off in the breeze.
Let the wind be your teacher today. Let go — not with heaviness, but with a lift of joy.
✨ Is your lens heavy with what was? Or clear with what could be?
✨ What’s one thought, story, or pressure you’re ready to toss into the wind?
For me...Today, the Sunday blues.... sometimes these emotions sneak up on me. Finally went outside for a pause, a reset in the breeze, a pivot - an invitation to embrace the evening that remained and let my grouchy outlook drift on the wind. Ahhhhhhh.....
Day 3
Sky — Expand Your Perspective
The sky never rushes.
It holds the storms, the sun, the shifting clouds and makes space for it all.
When life feels cramped, small, or overwhelming, LOOK UP!
The sky is always there… vast, calm, and infinite. A reminder that you don’t have to figure it all out at once.
Your perspective is your weather.
You can choose to see only the clouds or maybe the light breaking through them.
(Or Mt Everest’s peak breaking through… I took this photo from the airplane after spending a week in Nepal. Never got sight of this mighty mountain from the ground due to the clouds, but once I set sail for home, voila! She flashed a goodbye...Eye-to-Eye from ABOVE the clouds. I flew home with the biggest smile.)
Life happens for us, and sometimes it invites us to zoom out, soften our focus, and trust the bigger picture.
✨What’s clouding your view right now? What light might be hiding behind it?
✨ Where can you expand your thinking instead of tightening your grip?
Day 4
Trees — See Through, Stay Rooted
Sometimes life gives us a different view — not from above, but through.
A hole in the tree. A break in the bark.
An opening that wasn't meant to be there… but now, it shows us something new.
What once felt like a wound may actually be a window. Even in loss or uncertainty, there is perspective. There is light.
And, what if the “gap” in your life isn’t a loss but a sacred opening?
You don’t need to see the whole forest to trust your place in it. The world may look uncertain, but your roots — your values, your truth, your quiet resilience — are still holding strong.
✨ What are you looking through right now — and what do you see beyond it?
✨ What steady truth is keeping you rooted, even when life feels uncertain?
Day 5 -
🔥 Fire — Time to Light It Up!
Fire doesn’t just destroy — it awakens.
It clears space for something new.
It brings warmth, light, and energy. It’s the sacred spark of transformation.
What looks like an ending might actually be ignition.
A flame rising in you — asking not to be feared, but followed.
Are you ready for the ashes to nourish your next chapter?
✨ What part of you is ready to be reignited?
✨ What dream, desire, or joy is quietly glowing inside — waiting for breath and belief?
This is your season to rise.
Time to light it up!

Day 6:
🌲 Forest — Trust the Way Forward
A path through the forest doesn't always show you the end.
But there’s always a way forward.
In the forest, clarity doesn’t come all at once — but it can arrive as you move. Sometimes rooted & winding. Other times, clear & wide. A trail that unfolds only as you walk it.
Life offers the path, but your perspective determines your pace. Step by step, the unknown becomes familiar.
🌲 This week I craved a change of pace... a place within the forest, to move with ease and joy.
With a last minute plan, we biked on the Cotton Valley Rail Trail in NH. Surprisingly, a few miles of fun rolled into 20!
I was struck by how this craving for adventure was delivered in the most unsuspecting way. On my bike - in a forgotten place! Once I let go of "making it happen", the best thing did!
✨Where in life do you need to stop gripping the brakes and lean into the journey?
✨Can you trust the process, even if you can't see the whole map?
✨Will you walk with fear? Or with wonder?
Day 7:
Water doesn’t resist, it finds a way — it flows.
When life pushes, will you push back or will you pivot?
What if the obstacle in your path is here FOR you — to guide you, not block you?
How you interpret the resistance determines your energy.
To control the current…. Well, that takes immense work.
Rather, your job is to ride it — adjust, respond, stay awake to the direction it’s pulling you.
The goal = Move with ease, not struggle. You are being shaped by movement, even if you feel still.
This is the rhythm of nature — and of you.
💧Of all the elements, water challenges me the most. The fears that ride within me always feel exposed by the water… the river and her rapids, the power of tides, the waves exposing my vulnerabilities. Water has taught me like no other to lean-in, feel fear, and allow movement with trusting ease.
My body still remembers those firsts … the kayak rolling class with my brother and dad, our first white-water rafting experience (yes, when the class-V “Terminator” rapid engulfed our guide), and canoe paddles in ocean current and at night - yikes! Still feel them!
It's been a long journey of facing these fears in order to release the struggle, to pivot into a new relationship with the water. To trust I can learn to flow.
And importantly, I continue to ask for help along the way… my family, my partner (Thanks, Tom!), from the water herself! I keep trusting that each lean-in will grow more flow… with the water and ALL that life presents.
You?
✨Where are you being invited to ride the wave instead of fighting it?
✨Where can you trust the tide, even if you don’t see the shore yet?
Day 8
🪨 Stone — Sacred Stillness, Timeless Strength
I found this boulder in my neighbor's stone wall recently. I HAD to stop and look more closely. Pausing in front of it, I found myself… well, listening.
Rock holds wisdom -– before us, beneath us, around us.
The Earth’s ancient strength is whispered through stone.
Not everything sacred moves quickly.
Not every sign is loud.
Stone speaks in silence. And yet, it speaks.
You might not hear words, but trust what you feel.
The calm. The weight. The steady presence of something older than fear.
It reminds us, we are not lost. We are not late.
We are simply becoming more whole.
Life happens for us, even when it feels like we’re sitting still.
Especially on this day – on the side of a busy road, I found a shared breath with something fascinatingly familiar.
This pause with an ancient wedge of Earth asked me, “What part of you has endured… through storms, time, and change?”
You?
✨ Where in your life are you being asked to be still — and listen?
✨ What truth or value are you anchoring into, no matter the noise around you?
Day 9
🌾 Last Hours of Summer — Reap What You've Grown
This seasonal shift notes the beginning of the harvest.
Time to reap what was planted under the summer sun.
Look back. What have you cultivated this year?
Not all growth shows up in the mirror.
Your efforts, healing, hard choices — they’ve all planted something.
Sometimes it lives in your steadiness, your softness, or moments of peace.
Not everything will be loud. Not everything will be seen.
But it’s all real. And it’s all yours to reap.
The summer gave you sunshine, and you did the growing.
Celebrate this. Your gratitude turns this effort into your abundant harvest.
✨ What have you planted that’s finally bearing fruit?
✨ What’s ready to be received now that the striving can soften?
Day 10
🍁 Autumn — The Season of Becoming
We’ve arrived. Not at a finish line, but at a turning point.
The sun has done her part.
The winds have whispered, and the harvest has come.
And now?
We take it in. We thank the light. We trust the Fall.
Autumn reminds us that change doesn’t mean something’s wrong.
It means something is working.
This change gifts us the invitation to integrate all our senses.
Let the crisp air wake up your lungs AND your balanced perspective. Life wants you awake.
Let this seasonal shift hold all that you’ve learned.
Let it be a soft landing and a strong beginning.
✨ What wisdom will you carry forward as the light shifts and days slow down?
✨ How will you let this season live through you — not just around you?
Will you join me in embracing this new season with ease and joy?
Do you crave more intentional time in Nature?
